THINKING ABOUT ADDING A SHOOT ONTO YOUR PACKAGE?

An engagement or pre-wedding shoot is a fantastic way to get comfortable with being in front of the camera before your big day. It gives us the chance to work together in a relaxed setting, so you’ll feel more at ease when it’s time for wedding photos. Not only will you get stunning photos to use for save-the-dates or decor, but it also lets you practice prompts & see what feels most natural, making your wedding day experience that much smoother. Plus it’s a fun & memorable way to celebrate this exciting time in your relationship!  If you’re feeling any nervousness towards being photographed, I can confidently say that by the end of our session, those feelings will be a thing of the past.

"We DID a pre wedding shoot so we could see how it would feel on the wedding day and it made a big difference! Christie made us feel so chill about everything and it was soo fun. It was like you had a friend you had known for years."

FAQ

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ENGAGEMENT AND PRE WEDDING?

The only difference between the shoots is the timing of them.Whether you choose an engagement or pre-wedding shoot, both offer fantastic benefits. The pre-wedding shoot is typically arranged 2-3 months before the big day, giving you time to practice prompts & feel more relaxed when it’s time for your wedding photos. The engagement shoot is often scheduled shortly after booking your wedding. It can serve a practical purpose, like using the photos for save-the-date cards or your wedding website. It can also simply be a way to celebrate your newly engaged status with professional photos. Either way, both shoots help you feel confident & provide beautiful memories to look back on!

WHERE CAN WE DO THE SHOOT?

If you have a special location in mind, I’d love to hear about it! Many couples choose a place that holds personal meaning—whether it's from their childhood, where they had their first date, or even a favorite spot they love to visit for walks. I’m based in Aberdeen, so if you're thinking of a location further afield, just let me know & we can discuss the details before booking.

WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?

First & foremost, it's important that you feel like yourself! There is no rule book. Some couples love to dress up, while others prefer a relaxed & casual look. What matters most is that you choose what feels best for you.

You don’t have to match your partner exactly, but aim for colors that complement each other. Avoid clashing colors, as well as big logos or slogans which can be distracting in photos. The goal is to keep it simple & timeless!

can pets/CHILDREN be included?

Of course! Your four-legged friends are part of the family & I wouldn’t have family photos without my own pup, so I completely understand wanting them included. If you have children it’s also a great opportunity to bring them along! This way, they’ll feel more comfortable with me on the big day & we can capture some sweet, candid moments together. We’ll all be besties in no time.
